Madama Butterfly at Opéra de Lyon

After a successful house debut at the Teatro di San Carlo, Mr. Smith returns the role of Pinkerton in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly at Opéra de Lyon. His performance at Festival d’Aix-en-Provence last summer was described by Olyrix as “brilliant and sonorous”. Mr. Smith shares the stage once again with Ermonela Jaho as Ciò-Ciò-San, Lionel Lhote as Sharpless and Mihoko Fujimura as Suzuki. Maestro Sesto Quatrini conducts the choir and orchestra of the Opéra de Lyon.
