Les Contes d’Hoffmann at Greek National Opera

Mr. Smith makes his house debut at Greek National Opera, returning to the title role in Offenbach’s Les Contes d’Hoffmann. His debut performance of the role at Opéra national de Bordeaux in 2019 was described by Forum Opera as a “revelation.” This Krzysztof Warlikowski production, co-produced with La Monnaie de Munt in Brussels, features Νicole Chevalier as Stella/Olympia/Antonia/Giulietta, Michèle Losier as La Muse/Nicklausse, and Tassos Apostolou as Lindorf/Coppélius/Dr. Miracle/Dapertutto. Lukas Karytinos conducts the orchestra and chorus of the Greek National Opera.
