Madama Butterfly at San Diego Opera

This Spring, Mr. Smith returns to the US to make his house debut with San Diego Opera, in the role of Pinkerton in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly. His debut performance in Cincinnati last summer was praised by Cincinnati Business Courier as “ideal as B.F. Pinkerton. He brought an easy fluency and exciting high notes to the role, and was impassioned in his feelings for the lovely Cio-Cio San.” This time, under the baton of Maestro Yves Abel, Mr. Smith is joined by Corinne Winters as Cio-Cio-San, Stephanie Doche as Suzuki, and Kidon Choi as Sharpless.

Performances take place on April 26th and 28th. TIckets and more information can be found here.
